In this highly publicized case, two dog owners were charged with murder when their Presa Canario dogs viciously mauled to death their neighbor, Diane Whipple, in the hallway outside her Pacific Heights apartment.

IMS | The Focal Point’s Role

IMS | The Focal Point worked closely with the Prosecution team of District Attorney Terence Hallinan, lead prosecutor Jim Hammer, and Assistant District Attorney Kimberly Guilfoyle. Our efforts included helping to review the evidence, developing the central case themes, and structuring the opening statement.

A Los Angeles jury found the Defendants guilty on all five criminal charges resulting from the killing of Diane Whipple by the Defendants’ dogs. With these findings, Ms. Knoller became the first person in California history to be convicted of murder from a dog attack.
