Since joining The Focal Point in 2000 as a trial consultant, Richard’s work spanned many areas of practice such as criminal, employment, environmental, insurance, and intellectual property law. Notable past clients include the NFL, Intel, and Arthrocare. In addition, he managed the graphics that produced a successful $262 million verdict in a lawsuit against Prudential Securities. He also worked for three years on The Focal Point’s first international case which was also the first medical products class action to go to trial in Canada, resulting in all claims ultimately being dismissed. In his current role as the production director, he greatly enjoys being an internal resource for the employees while ensuring that all daily activities are optimally staffed and managed.
Prior to joining The Focal Point, Richard worked as a business management consultant with clients ranging from academic teaching hospitals to internet start-ups. He holds a BA in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University, an MPH in Management and Policy from Columbia University, and completed the HR certification program from UC Berkeley. When not working, he enjoys traveling and basically being outdoors.
